Restorative Teacher Training
Saturday & Sunday, June 22 - 23, 2 - 7 PM
at Loom Yoga Bushwick
Deepen your knowledge and understanding of restorative yoga as we explore how to weave the subtle yet fundamental elements of breath, awareness, and stillness into any practice, starting with your own.
By actively relaxing into our personal practice, we develop the clarity and poise to share yoga with others in a gentle way that welcomes quiet, healing, and insight to arise naturally. This two-day course features inquiry into:
- intentional sequencing, supported postures, variations and modifications, including hands on.
- honing attention to breath, traditional pranayama, and subtle body balance.
- practical meditation and relaxation techniques, including Yoga Nidra.
- teaching with presence while allowing students to have their own experience.
- manual with take home practice prompts and reading list.
Look forward to gaining the wisdom and inspiration for restorative yoga to elevate your personal and teaching practice, whatever your background.
Upon completion of the course and homework, 12 continuing education hours may be registered with the Yoga Alliance.

Hi! My name is Christie. Based in principles from my teachers, my own daily practice, and over a decade of teaching experience, I share yoga as a practice of self study, reflection, and regeneration.
By honing our capacity to breathe, listen, and intrinsically trust, yoga practice allows us to remember ourselves as harmonious, whole, and guided by principle, process, and purpose on the mat and out in the world.
With gratitude to the householder tradition of the late Sri Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar, wherein yoga is adapted to the individual, not vice versa.
Traditionally, one on one guidance is the most effective, enjoyable way to learn how to develop your own yoga practice. Recommended on a consistent, ongoing basis, custom sessions vary from restorative to vinyasa according to practitioner intentions. May include hands on guidance inspired by bioenergetics and Thai yoga bodywork.
